«Scientific Tourism in the Eastern Crimea»
The International Scientific and Practical Conference «Scientific Tourism in the Eastern Crimea» has been annually held by the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea together with Kerch Historical and Cultural Foundation «Bospor» since 2002.
Every time the Conference shows the new opportunities of the tourism development in the region. Last several years the workshops on the animation, archaeological and yacht tourism were the top points of the conference.
In 2006 at first time the seminar on the movie tourism was run, and also the main objectives of the green and rural tourism development was discussed. The information about the importance of the natural features, particularly animals, for the scientific tourism was the point of interest of many conference participants.
The main themes of the VI Conference in 2007 were The Nikita Botanical Garden and the Natural Preserves of the Eastern Crimea. The scientists and the tour operators and agents discussed the tourism opportunities and peculiarities of the preserves, and visited the Opuk Natural Preserve.
Also, the excursion program included Kerch Museum of Antiquities and Golden Treasury visit and the acquaintance the Sheremetiev private collection exhibition devoted to the Crimea War.
